Step 1
Which maze do you see?
Pick the layout that matches the walls on your module.
Step 2
Choose a maze above to load the board.
The board loads when you pick a layout.
Pick the layout that matches the walls on your module.
How to solve a BOMBANANA Maze
Three steps: match the layout, mark the two cells, follow the route.
- 01Match the maze layoutChoose the wall pattern that matches your module.
- 02Mark start and targetTap the two cells directly on the maze.
- 03Follow the routeUse the line on the maze, or read the arrow sequence from left to right.

How to read the route
The route is written as one arrow per move, in the order you make them.
- Up
- Right
- Down
- Left
Each arrow means move one cell. Two arrows in a row means two separate moves, not one longer press.
The move count is what you check at the end. If you took fewer moves than the count, you missed one.
Maze solver example
Layout 1, from the top-left corner to the bottom-right corner, drawn from the same data the solver reads.

Layout 1
Route
11 moves
Say: “Down, right, down, left, down, right, down, right, right, right, right”
Call the route in short chunks
A long route read out in one breath arrives wrong. Two or three moves at a time is what a teammate can hold.
- 01
Two or three moves at a time
Say “Up, right, right,” then wait for your teammate to move before you continue.
- 02
Say the direction, not the arrow
“Down, down, left” survives voice chat. A row of arrows does not.
- 03
Step through a long route
For a long route, follow it one move at a time on the board instead of memorising the whole sequence.
Common Maze mistakes
Five things that go wrong on this module, and what to check first.
Choosing the wrong layout
Match the wall pattern before you mark the start and the target.
Swapping start and target
The route begins at the start cell and ends at the target cell.
Rotating the maze
Keep the maze in the same orientation as the module shows it.
Skipping repeated arrows
Each arrow is one move. “Right, right” means two moves to the right.
Tapping the wall instead of the cell
Tap inside the cell that holds the marker, not on the line beside it.
Need the Maze manual instead?
Open the Maze section of the manual if you want to identify the layout and navigate without the route tool.
Maze FAQ
How do I use the BOMBANANA Maze solver?
Choose the matching maze, tap your start cell, then tap the target.
How many Maze layouts are there?
Six layouts are available in the current solver.
Does the solver find the shortest route?
Yes. It returns a shortest valid route between the selected cells.
What does each arrow mean?
One arrow equals one move to an adjacent cell.
What if my route looks like it crosses a wall?
Recheck that you selected the correct maze and tapped the correct cells. The displayed route only uses open connections.
