Use a two-part callout
- 01
Give the two clues in order
Say the Braille number first, then the light: “Braille 6, Yellow.”
- 02
Answer with one word
Reply with the direction and nothing else: “Right.”
- 03
Repeat the clues when asked
If the answer is questioned, say the two clues again rather than repeating the direction louder.
Common Direction mistakes
Using the light color alone
The same light can give a different direction for another Braille number.
Using the Braille number alone
Both clues are required. The light changes the direction for the same number.
Calling out the answer without the clues
Use “Braille 6, Yellow” first if your team needs to verify the answer.
Reusing the previous answer
Recheck both clues on a new module or a new round.
